HashiCorp / Security automation / VA-003
Manage secrets and access with HashiCorp Vault
Start with Vault Associate (003) for authentication, policies, tokens, leases, secrets engines, transit encryption, architecture, deployment, and access integrations. HashiCorp recommends terminal, architecture, and basic security knowledge.
Core learning
Follow the official objectives
- 1.Authentication methods and identity
- 2.Policies, capabilities, and tokens
- 3.Leases and secrets engines
- 4.Transit encryption
- 5.Architecture, sealing, storage, and replication
- 6.Vault Agent and Secrets Operator
Hands-on consolidation
Build it in an isolated lab
Run Vault in a disposable local environment. Enable an auth method and KV engine, write least-privilege policies, create and revoke a token, issue a dynamic secret, use transit encryption, inspect leases and audit output, and configure a simple Agent template.
You can select an auth method and secrets engine, write path-based policy, explain token and lease lifecycles, distinguish sealing from access control, and safely deliver a secret to an application.
