HashiCorp / Infrastructure automation / T-AOA

Author and operate Terraform at production scale

Move here after substantial production Terraform experience. HashiCorp recommends Terraform Associate plus Linux, data-format, networking, cloud credential, advanced HCL, and deep workflow skills. The current exam is lab-based and uses AWS; an Azure version is planned separately.

Core learning

Follow the official objectives

  1. 1.Manage resource lifecycle
  2. 2.Develop and troubleshoot dynamic configuration
  3. 3.Build collaborative workflows
  4. 4.Create and refactor modules
  5. 5.Configure and troubleshoot providers
  6. 6.Operate and govern HCP Terraform

Hands-on consolidation

Build it in an isolated lab

In an isolated AWS sandbox, complete timed scenarios: import and refactor existing resources, recover drift, design a reusable module, constrain providers, migrate remote state, automate plan and apply, use dynamic credentials, and enforce policy. Verify state and infrastructure after every task.

Ready when…

You can complete unfamiliar Terraform tasks from requirements, diagnose configuration and provider failures, preserve state safely, and prove the resulting infrastructure matches intent under time pressure.
