CompTIA / IT support / 220-1201
Build the A+ Core 1 foundation
Begin the current CompTIA A+ V15 route with Core 1. It develops practical skills across mobile devices, networking, hardware, virtualization and cloud computing, and hardware and network troubleshooting. A+ requires both current core exams.
A+ certification requirement
A+ requires 220-1201 and 220-1202
Prepare for and pass both current exams from the same series. One core alone does not earn the A+ certification.

Hands-on consolidation
Build and troubleshoot in a safe lab
Assemble or document a workstation build, configure a small wired and wireless network, add a virtual machine, connect common peripherals, and troubleshoot seeded hardware, addressing, DNS, and wireless faults using a written methodology.
You can identify components and connectors, configure endpoint connectivity, distinguish cloud and virtualization models, and isolate hardware or network faults from evidence.
