Understand AWS cloud fundamentals

Start here if cloud concepts, shared responsibility, and AWS service selection are new to you. Build a vocabulary for choosing a technical or business direction.

Core learning

Build understanding, one area at a time

Use the official exam guide as your complete coverage checklist. These study blocks organize your preparation; they are not a replacement for the full blueprint.

  1. 1.Cloud value, global infrastructure, and the shared responsibility model.
  2. 2.Security basics, identity, and the purpose of core compute, storage, database, and networking services.
  3. 3.Pricing concepts, cost controls, support, and choosing services for simple scenarios.

Hands-on consolidation

Put it into practice

Create a paper design for a small website. Identify who secures each layer, compare two compute choices, and estimate the resources you would pay for using the AWS Pricing Calculator. No paid deployment is needed for this exercise.

Ready to move on when…

You can explain the design in plain language, distinguish customer and AWS responsibilities, and identify its main cost drivers without relying on memorized definitions.

Use isolated labs and synthetic data, never production. Check current prices before creating resources. Budget alerts do not cap spending; remove resources and backups you no longer need.

Practice and review

Find gaps with our CLF-C02 test

Try the questions, explain why each option is right or wrong, and return to the relevant official resource. Repeat practical work where your understanding is weak.
