Certificate of Completion

Finish the course. Prove it.

Complete all 36 labs and you can download a certificate of completion with your name, the skills you practised and a unique ID. Challenges are optional. Anyone can check it on a public verification page — and add it to LinkedIn in one click.

  • Not self-declared. Before issuing, our server re-runs the grader on every lab you saved, so a checkbox in your browser is not enough.
  • Verifiable. Every certificate has its own page at examitlab.com/verify/<ID>.
  • Honest. It certifies that you completed this course. It is not a Microsoft certification and is not endorsed by Microsoft — there is no official exam for PowerShell itself.

Sample certificate — name and ID are fictional.

POWERSHELL hands-on labs — questions

Can I practise PowerShell without a Windows server or a domain?
Yes. ExamIT Lab gives you 36 guided PowerShell labs in a simulated Windows PowerShell console against a fictional Windows estate — a workstation, two servers and a domain controller. Nothing runs on a real machine, so there is no lab to build, no licence to buy and nothing you can break.
Are the POWERSHELL labs free?
The first 5 labs in the learning order are free, repeatable and never expire — no credit card and no sign-up required to start. The full course of 36 labs plus 4 troubleshooting challenges is a one-time purchase with no subscription.
What does a POWERSHELL lab look like?
Each lab opens a realistic simulation of a simulated Windows estate — a Windows 11 workstation with RSAT, two Windows Server 2022 member servers and a domain controller — with Windows PowerShell 5.1 and PowerShell 7: the object pipeline, discovery with Get-Help/Get-Command/Get-Member, CSV/JSON reporting, scripts and advanced functions you write in the editor and the grader executes, modules, Pester tests, services, processes, registry, event logs, scheduled tasks, local accounts, NTFS ACLs, networking, CIM, Active Directory users, groups, OUs and computers, and WinRM remoting. You get a task brief, a guided or independent mode, progressive hints and a "Check configuration" button that grades the actual end state you left behind — not just the buttons you clicked.
Is there a PowerShell certification exam?
No — Microsoft has no exam for PowerShell itself, which is why this is a skills course rather than exam prep. It covers the PowerShell that AZ-800, AZ-801, AZ-104, MD-102 and SC-300 assume you already know: the pipeline, scripting, Active Directory, remoting and scheduling, graded on what your commands and scripts actually did.
Is there a certificate at the end?
Yes. When all 36 labs are complete you can issue a certificate of completion in your account: a PDF with your name and a unique ID, an Add to LinkedIn link and a public verification page. Before issuing, the server re-runs the course grader on every lab you saved, so it reflects work you really did. It certifies completion of this course; it is not a Microsoft certification.
How is this different from running PowerShell on my own PC?
Your PC has no domain, no servers and no safe way to break things. These labs give you a pre-built estate with fictional users, services and logs, a clear goal per task, hints when you want them, and a grader that runs your scripts with different parameters and checks the resulting state — so you learn the real administration workflows, not just the syntax.

Access is per course. Sign in for account progress. After paid access expires, your saved progress is retained and the first five tasks remain free.
