CKA hands-on labs — questions

Does CKA have labs, and can I practise them without a cluster?
Yes. ExamIT Lab gives you 30 guided CKA labs in a simulated Kubernetes cluster terminal. Nothing runs on a real cluster, cloud account or machine, so there is nothing to install, nothing to pay a cloud provider for, and nothing you can break.
Are the CKA labs free?
The first five practice tasks are free and repeatable. Full CKA lab access includes all 30 tasks and all three timed practical exams. There is no separate CKA multiple-choice question bank or exam/lab bundle in this course.
What does a CKA lab look like?
Each task opens a prepared Kubernetes scenario with a terminal, YAML file editor, optional guidance and outcome-based checks. The three practice exams each contain 15 original tasks with a 120-minute deadline, task flags and weighted partial credit. Hints and live assessment are hidden until submission. Each task has its own isolated starting state.
Is this a real Kubernetes cluster or the official CKA exam environment?
This is an independent browser simulation of supported Kubernetes operations and a Linux-style desktop. It does not run a real API server, containers, node processes or the PSI secure browser. Assessment checks the modeled final cluster state and operational outcomes; unsupported commands return an explicit limitation. The practice timer is client-managed and continues across reloads; it is not a proctored or tamper-proof certification exam.
Is this affiliated with the Linux Foundation or the CNCF?
No. ExamIT Lab is independent. CKA is used only as the descriptive name of the exam these labs help you prepare for; the labs are original practice material and are not endorsed or sponsored by the Linux Foundation or the CNCF.
Do the labs cover the current CKA exam outline?
The 30 tasks practise selected objectives across the five CKA domains: cluster architecture and configuration, workloads, networking, storage and troubleshooting. The course follows the public CNCF curriculum; it does not reproduce every Kubernetes feature or any confidential exam questions.
How is this different from running a local cluster such as kind or minikube?
kind and minikube run real Kubernetes clusters and support wider experimentation. These browser labs provide prepared incidents, optional guidance and automatic checks of the modeled resources and files without local setup. Use a real cluster alongside the labs to practise operations outside the supported simulation.
